About me

Dream Big Too

With a background as a Registered Nurse, car mechanic, and a BA in International Studies, I bring a unique blend of healthcare expertise, technical skills, and global perspective. Guided by curiosity, compassion, and consistency, I embrace challenges and change with enthusiasm. My energy and adaptability drive my dedication to making a meaningful impact wherever I go.

At 43, I’m embarking on my most ambitious journey yet—running around the world for causes that matter deeply to me: palliative care, hospice care, and suicide prevention. Running is my passion, a force that inspires and connects people. Through this journey, I hope to share its transformative power every step of the way. Join me and dream big too—let’s make a difference together.

My Run Around the

World:

More Than Just Miles

The Why

Life is both fragile and resilient—a truth I’ve experienced as a nurse and as a fellow human being. From holding patients’ hands to witnessing communities come together in times of need, I’ve seen how compassion can transform lives. This journey sheds light on palliative care, hospice care, and suicide prevention—causes that highlight the power of connection, dignity, and support. My aim is to inspire a kinder, more inclusive world where no one feels overlooked or alone.

The Plan

Beginning in December 2024, I will take on a self-supported run around the world, covering 16,300 miles over 18 months—running an average of 30 miles per day. Pushing a buggy carrying all my essentials, this journey is more than just a physical challenge; it’s a mission to unite communities, raise awareness about end-of-life and mental health care, and encourage acts of kindness across the globe.

The Path

Every step honors those facing life’s greatest struggles. Along the way, I’ll connect with communities, sparking conversations that promote empathy, hope, and action. This journey is a testament to resilience and the power of working together, where everyone can play a part. Whether by running alongside me, sharing a story, or spreading the word, we can all contribute. Step by step, mile by mile, we can create a kinder, more connected world.
